Zerafin is a colorful, cosmopolitan ensemble, open and contemporary. The musicians come from all over the world and are specialists on their instrument. They have lived in the Netherlands for many years.

Zerafin is a tight group, seasoned and polished by a long-standing collaboration. Zerafin is fresh and daring, and during concerts this driven group radiates enthusiasm, joy and energy.

 

The music of Zerafin moves between contemporary composed music, world music and improvisation.

Zerafin regularly collaborates with other ensembles, musicians and artists from other disciplines. Zerafin plays on small, medium and big stages and festivals in the Netherlands and abroad. Zerafin plays for a broad audience of music- and culture lovers.

 

Zerafin gives the Dutch society an opportunity to participate in the authentic richness that each musician brings to the Netherlands. Zerafin is our present for the Dutch music.

 

 

Missie

Zerafin is het voormalige “Ensemble Ziggurat”, een kleurrijk, kosmopolitisch ensemble, open en van deze tijd. De musici, die uit alle windstreken vandaan komen, zijn specialisten op hun instrument. Zij leven sinds jaren in Nederland. Zerafin is een hechte groep, door de wol geverfd en gepolijst door een langdurige samenwerking. Zerafin is fris en uitnodigend, en tijdens concerten straalt deze gedreven groep bevlogenheid, vreugde en energie uit.

De muziek van Zerafin beweegt zich tussen hedendaagse gecomponeerde muziek, wereldmuziek en improvisatie. Zerafin werkt regelmatig samen met andere ensembles, musici en kunstenaars uit andere disciplines. Zerafin speelt op kleine, middengrote en grote podia en festivals in het binnen- en buitenland. Zerafin richt zich aan een zo breed mogelijk publiek van muziek- en cultuurgeïnteresseerden.

Zerafin laat de Nederlandse samenleving deelnemen aan de authentieke rijkdom die elke musicus van het ensemble naar Nederland heeft meegenomen. Zerafin is ons geschenk aan de Nederlandse muziek.
